The Role

  • Implement & support current sales strategy

  • Ensure sales goals & objectives are met by growing end user and smaller OEM sales

  • Coordinate, prepare and present product quotations and commercial proposals to prospective customers

  • Follow up allocated sales leads from web email, telephone or tradeshows

  • Follow up on and progress quotations on the system which have not resulted in orders

  • Communicate customer requirements through the CRF process and liaise with engineering for progress updates & ensure all parties are informed of major changes

  • Support and liaise with the Asia Pacific General Manager by quoting standard parts and handling enquiries from customers in the Far East

  • Monitor and review emails and enquiries from the Sales inbox and website on a daily basis with the Sales Manager

  • Distribute enquiries amongst the sales team after consultation with the Sales Manager

  • Manage intra-group enquiries & RFQ’s

  • Provide post sales customer service

  • Facilitate handover of accounts to Sales Manager, Field Sales Engineers & management team once an opportunity has been realised

  • Filemaker database management (e.g. loading/updating customer information)

  • Ensure all new contacts are entered on the database after exhibitions

Suitable candidates will be:

  • Of a Degree (or equivalent) level of education in an engineering or scientific capability

  • Able to produce and deliver strong presentations

  • Excellent at communicating in order to obtain new business and, complete the full sales cycle

  • Very customer service orientated and be able to take ownership of customer service issues

  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision and be able to organize themselves

  • Flexible to adapt their working practices and working hours to suit the business and remain compliant with all procedures and regulations.
