Our clients are a nationwide supplier of telecommunication and IT products, and are a "one-Stop-Communications-Solutions" company. The head office is based in the Midlands.With 20 years of successful trading experience, and due to the continued growth being experienced by the company, our clients are keen to further increase their dynamic Field Sales Team, with the addition of an excellent all-round Solution Sales Consultant.

The Purpose of the Sales Consultant/ Business Development Manager:

As a Solution Sales Consultant you will have an effective and proven track record of successful enterprise level, solution based selling process and strategy, outstanding problem solving skills, including the ability to meet a business requirement with a technical solution using the client's product set, and be highly experienced at liaising with clients up to board level.

You will analyse the customer needs and develop appropriate business plans as well as developing and presenting solutions for/to clients and demonstrating a broad knowledge of telecoms solutions.Understanding of technical and commercial requirements to identify business opportunities and present recommendations and solutions and understanding of sales strategy to penetrate new markets and grow the market share, is also key.


  • You will be responsible for identifying potential new customers and business opportunities across all company products and services

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with new and existing accounts to create opportunities in their given target market.

  • Effectively plan and prepare time and meetings, use product demonstrations to leverage sale, demonstrating excellent product and technical knowledge.

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Have a high work ethic and be ambitious and self-driven.

  • Excellent numeric and presentation skills and strong commercial awareness, communication and management skills are also key.

The Ideal Sales Consultant/ Business Development Manager will have:

  • Telecoms sales experience

  • Existing Telecoms product knowledge (ideally Mitel 3300, Cisco, Avaya IP Office or other VOIP / PABX / Network Services / B2B Mobile Phone solutions product experience is fine).

  • Significant sales experience, gained within the telecoms sectors, experience within an Account Management role and be able to demonstrate their "new business" Telecoms sales ability.

  • An understanding of communications technology and its application in a sales environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • Self-motivated, success orientated, have a great attitude, be positive, enthusiastic, dedicated, hungry and professional looking
